Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
Our area of speciality in product optimization is the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry. One of our co-founders, Davis Wilson, has worked in the HVAC industry for more than twenty years, and the original synthesis of our optimization process was born in the world of HVAC manufacturing.
An extremely high level of complexity exists around the possible designs for HVAC systems. When considering the vast array of options that result from combinations of different manufacturing components - coils, which vary in height, width, number of rows, tube size, and fin shape; fans, which vary in size and air speed; compressors, which vary in type and size… just to name a few - the possibilities for even a simple system can number in the hundreds of thousands or even millions.
When you consider the additional complexity that arises when different products within a product line share components - given volume-based pricing deals or shipping costs when engaging with vendors for component purchasing - an already complex decision-making process becomes infinitely more intricate.
When there are so many considerations across the dimensions, performance, and cost of components and products, how does one evaluate all these options in a meaningful way?
How can your team even visualize a million combinations?
When you review potential solutions, how do you avoid the repeated back and forth between departments and decision-makers to get buy-in across your product design team?
Snyder Wilson can streamline this design review process, helping you to consider all your options, visualize them in meaningful representations, and review them as a team in a way that all team members can access and understand.
